David Weitzman was born in Israel. He is the force behind Ka Gold Jewelry. From an early age David realized that his view of life and reality was very different from society, his parents, the media and the educational system.

Through the years, David dedicated himself to searching for his destiny. In the year 1995 David had a dream that sent him looking for a mysterious green stone.

Blog Post: Rahway Film Festival

So I know I don’t often talk about the things that are going on in my life because really I’m totally boring, honest. But this June a truly awesome thing is happening.

The Rahway Film Festival.

Why you ask is this so awesome? Yes, I know people have film festivals all the time, but this one is in Jersey (where I live) and it was completely funded by Kickstarter.

I have all kinds of love for Kickstarter and not just because they funded a Veronica Mars Movie (though I won’t lie that’s probably a huge part of it).

I love that there's a place people can come together and make things happen. It’s such a great community and they have some truly inspired endeavors on there from all over the country. I wish I could back every single project, but alas I don’t have billions of dollars, though at least you know if I did I wouldn’t spend it all on DVD’s (they are my kryptonite).

Random Feature: Legendary Women First Annual Literary Contest

Announcing the First Annual Legendary Women, Inc. Literary Contest

We all have a favorite heroine, a woman who kicks a serious amount of butt and inspires us to be better than we are. So far, Legendary Women, Inc. has celebrated the female characters who already exist. Now we're asking our readers to create some of their own!

We're hosting a literary contest in order to encourage the creation of strong female protagonists. The top prize includes posting the story on the site, an author interview with the winning writer, and fifty dollars (US). Second and third place finishers will also have their stories posted here in the run up to the grand prize winner being posted, but they will not receive a monetary prize or an interview. For more information, please read all the rules below. They're all crucial to ensuring that you submit the best quality of work, as well as work that qualifies for our contest.

Also, as this is just the first contest, we hope to have others in the future. We're interested in doing contests for memoirs/autobiographical fiction and for sex positive fiction, but this contest isn't about those types of stories. Still, watch out for them in the future!

Southern Festival of Books

Random Blog Post

This past Sunday I had the chance to go to the 24th Annual Southern Festival of Books in Downtown Nashville. The weather wasn’t the best and was so windy the tents were almost blown away, so not many venders actually set their stuff up, which was disappointing.

The highlight of the day though was getting to go to the young adult panel called, Reconstructing Order- YA Dystopian Novels. The three authors that were there to talk were Julianna Baggott (JB) (Pure), Jeff Hirsch (JH) (The Eleventh Plague and Magisterium), and Kat Zhang (KZ) (What’s Left of Me).

I took notes as fast as I could, but everything is still paraphrased from what both the questions were and their answers. I also did not take down every question so I could take time to just listen to them and take it all in.

Q: When it comes to managing worldbuilding how much time spent on it’s exposition is too much?
